The incredible journey
Today was a bit crazy. Well, as crazy as you can get with two babies and two toddlers, two buggies, two slings and two tired mummies (without alcohol I should add). SDB and I braved public transport to get to Manchester Sling Meet. We walked the scenic route to get to the train station and Cleo loved the train, it was the first time she had ever been on one and she had fun with "Heffie" watching things whiz by the windows. Sling meet was in a cafe and it was absolutely heaving! I've never seen that many slings in one room- Manchester is where the sling scene is happenin' apparently! Unfortunately, the toddlers weren't as impressed and we didn't stay long. We did have a lovely time walking around Manchester, stepping on stepping stones and running around the (dry) fountain (toddlers were running, I was sitting, eating, feeding Ash and watching a group of gulls dive bombing us and then flying back to their cement "tree"). There was great conversation and the sun even graced us with it's presence a few times. Then it was back on the train with two worn out toddlers and a bus ride home for us, another exciting first for Cleo.
I think I have done my months worth of exercise!
