Glen Shee

It was a slow journey north today but good weather and smashing views once we entered Glen Shee.

We are here in Ballater for the British Orienteering Championships over the next two days.  I had booked us in to the Glen Lui Hotel here several months ago and when we arrived, Jessica on the front desk informed us that we had a complimentary upgrade!  So we are in the four poster room  complete with chaise longue (which I could get used to!) with this view out of our window!

We have been to a pub in the town for dinner and, unsurprisingly, it was full of orienteers!  Now we are relaxing and trying to avoid Royal Wedding bulletins on the tv.  What a shame it will all happen when we are running through the forest at Balmoral tomorrow!  I wish them all the best but the media coverage is diabolical!
