Celebrations

L ate out with friends and her sister last night, so the family celebration of her 18th birthday was tonight. Mum came too, which was good, even if it was only possible because Dad was having his first full day in a nursing home.

Earlier, I'd been in town to answer a caterer's queries about a venue. I also worked on my plenary talk, which I found out I'll be giving on 28 June.
