Mr and Mrs Finch

A work day.   Must admit the cabin seems brighter with most of the windows (all that are going to be) washed!  But then I sorely needed a sitdown in the “back yard” watching all the birds…nuthatches, goldfinch, flickers, towhees, hummingbirds.   I think these are house finches (not purple finch? right? all you birders?? ) the female seemed to want to be just where the male was all the time..I did like her tufts of feathers standing up… then I had to get back to work holding the ladder for H who managed to unplug the one dreaded gutter we have.   We vowed no more big ladders for any windows, but this couldn’t be avoided.
