Goatfell, Isle of Arran

- breakfast at the hostel
- getting ready to go up to Goatfell
- walking up to almost the top but after almost 2 hours we decided to go back as it was way too windy and therefore dangerous to keep on walking to the top which was cloudy anyway. Picture shows D walking downhill in front of me
- after 3 hours and 30 minutes we finally got back to the car. Both knackered and happy to sit and eat something. It was so cold, our fingers were almost frozen.
- we had a wee picnic
- it started to rain
- visited a pottery, cheesemaker shop, café for cake and coffee
- drove to a hotel for early dinner but it was closed
- in the end we went to the ferry (way too early though) but the guy was so nice and let us through anyway
- had 40 mins spare so went to a charity shop and bought myself a nice grey/purple dress
- back on the ferry, having dinner
- back in Ardrossan, driving to Edinburgh.
- Home at 8pm, washing and cleaning. D and D went out for a drink.
- bed by 10.30pm
