Diary of an Edinburgher

Royal Wedding!

Gym ✖️

Archie was very excited about the wedding! He was just about the only person (or dog) JR could persuade to get excited about it... though I watched it. In fact, I did watch it instead of going to the gym. I like seeing the fashion faux pas - not sure of the plural - for there were plenty of 'em. Though Eugenie and Beatrice did disappoint... (It's a pity Will's baldie heid spoiled this tender scene....)

Archie wore his new collar to go out for his morning walk. And at the gate, he had his first test - a squawking child passed as he reached the gate. Normally, this would result in hysterical barking, causing the child to cry and the parent to glare at the irresponsible dog owners. But there was not a peep. Progress!

He and I sat outside while JR went to the gym. I had my breakfast in complete peace, not a normal occurrence. I was able to wander in and out of the house, leaving the door open and himself peacefully outside.

Elizabeth came to collect Archie, and we popped in to a well known pizza chain to use a couple of free codes. The waiter had been in Melbourne, so knew how to make a decent flat white and long black!

Later, Elizabeth and Archie joined us in the back garden with a neighbour to share her bottle of rosé. Archie was good, though a few grumbles slipped out, with the accompanying annoying noise. He'll learn.
