Apple trees in bloom

Two of our apple trees are already in full bloom. First buds opened already on Wednesday, May 16th - I don't remember as early start before!

Today is Emma's name day. We also were celebrating my nephew's 16th birthday. 

This spring Finland is experiencing worst birch pollen season in years. One-fifth of Finland's residents suffer from some form of pollen allergy, but birch pollen levels have been so high they have caused allergy symptoms in people who are not normally affected. One-fourth of our family has the birch pollen allergy: fortunately antihistamine helps.
