"Flipper", by Andrew de Boer (1996)
This afternoon I took a walk to Grey Lynn Park, and exited via the Grey Lynn Sculpture Park. This secluded area of the large park (with many sports fields, and other open areas) is planted in native trees and shrubs which is regenerating the original flora of this area. There is a wet area in the middle which allows for the growth of wetland plants as well.
Scattered through this area (and on its edges) are a number of sculptures, some of which I have blipped in the past. Today, I saw this stainless steel work by Andrew de Boer, in a relatively open space below the tall trees.
