I always feel blessed when we see dolphins out on the boat. This afternoon was particularly special. Out with a charming older couple we had the ocean all to ourselves. Chatting about life, gazing out on the waves, and pointing enthusiastically at seabirds we were suddenly surrounded by dolphins.

A group of about 4 or 5 Hector's and 6 or 7 Dusky Dolphins, a different species. Both cavorting in and out of the waves, sliding against the boat, and basking in the sun. A cross cultural, cross species moment. A common conversation between us all socializing out on the sea...
