The accidental finding

Please notice that single bird in the sky! Minimalist, that's me.

We didn't have anything urgent to do today, and decided to go to the lake at Frampton Court. It's very peaceful there.

The idea was that Steve would take some cracking bird shots, and I would listen to a download of Emma on my phone. I'm trying to read it all by Tuesday for a class, but it's a tough call, and I decided I needed to buy an abridged version. Two hours later, I'd succeeded in downloading one. Not the one I actually wanted, which seemed not to be able to be purchased, but this one was free, and read by Juliet Stephenson. It has Regency drawing room music between the chapters, too!

So, we got to the lake, and Steve started snapping, and I wrote a really long reply to my friend in Germany, who wants to visit in October, and then I read my non-Emma book, and when I finally got to listening, Steve said he was almost ready to go home! To be fair, I'd had a lovely time lazing, and my knees had had a rare outing, and by now there were insects in my undergarments...

Came home and I'm lazing in the cabin, but soon I'm going to go and unpack my stall clobber from yesterday, while listening to Emma. The only slight annoyance is that I tested flaked coconut today, to see if it's one of the things that irritates my throat (I suspected it was), and guess what? It does!I am back to coughing and throat clearing.

Too nice weather to remain grumpy, though!
