Penny Farthing
Just as I spotted a chap cycling on a Penny Farthing, he jumped off because a lock gate was open and obscuring his way.
I waited for him to alight again but he was then hidden by Queen Anne's Lace. It would have been a brilliant blip!
A few weeks ago, our patron, Lady Lansdowne of Bowood, spent a morning with us . She always brings her friend, Amanda, with her. They are both marvellous, lovely women and we enjoy their visits.
Lady L was telling us about her Royal Wedding invite and she and Amanda were clearly excited about it. Yesterday morning, Lady L emailed a photo of the two of them before they had to give up their mobiles prior to going into the castle. That way, we could look out for them on the Big Screen at the street party because we knew what they were wearing. I was too busy to watch it in the morning so caught up in the evening.
I spotted Lady L so snapped a screen shot (extra). Amanda is the widow of Harry's Godfather and she had seat number 12. (The Queen was number 13.) The shots of Amanda were only fleeting but we saw her several times.
It was fascinating listening to these two chat about previous Royal Weddings. Apparently, Lady L had a brilliant seat at Camilla's!
It has been another beautiful day! The kitchen is being delivered on Friday so we had a clear out of the garage so it can be stored until required. Recent news is early June. We got another Electrician quote and it was £900 less! Currently chasing the plumber.
