Porto Cervo & Palau
Our lucky spinner has come up trumps today.
We've avoided torrential downpours, enjoyed sunshine on our bikes and the forecasted afternoon rain didn't materialise. On top of that, my handlebars have been flipped, my calf was more settled today and the third mosquito bite this year has almost disappeared with what I can only think is a side effect of the turmeric I'm taking. Itchy but no more swelling hard boiled eggs!
We found a lovely spot at Porto Cervo for brunch but I'm still struggling to find carbs. After the ride, which we kept short because of the forecast, we headed to Rocco d'Orso near Palau. It was far better than we'd expected, not busy and the wild wind whistling through the eroding rocks explained in part their formation.
We made a magnificent pasta dinner and have finished off the night with bananas on buttered crackers. Supermarket is a GF heaven!
Five metres from our sliding doors, we've also discovered a pair of flycatchers having dinner. How lovely is that?
