Freaky

Lots of good advice here, but I honestly have no idea what they were selling in this store—I’m just a sucker for bright lights. We were walking around Pasadena after a fabulous Venezuelan brunch at a place known for hot chocolate, the kind you can stand your spoon straight up in, and they did not disappoint. Plus just for good luck, I threw in a shot of espresso.

We had a pretty low key day, watching a couple episodes of Doc Martin, our new fave series, at our son’s place in the afternoon. Two of us are a bit under the weather, so it was a perfect thing to do on an overcast day. It’s been pretty grey and cold here. Not your sunny Southern California.
