Scurvy grass

A walk up on the cliffs to see what I could see, while Mike carried on working away at the shed.  I had to do a bit of clambering to get down to a level where I could take this photo, but wise old Ollie stayed up on the top, keeping an eye on me!

I was looking for primroses, and there are lots of them, but even more white drifts of scurvy grass, so called because the leaves were eaten to prevent the disease, caused by a lack of vitamin C.  Also flowering are the tiny violas, looking so dainty and fragile, clinging onto the slopes.

Lots of fulmars nesting too - go large to see them on the cliff ledges in the far left.  Extra is Ollie, resting, while I did some shell seeking!
