Garden visit

We visited the beautiful gardens of Sennicotts near Chichester today which was open in aid of charity. We didn’t know what to expect as it was a private garden and were surprised by a long hedge lined drive with fields and then a really large (over 70 acre) garden. There were beautiful rhododendrons and azaleas with wonderful scents, a walled garden where we had tea and cake in the shade of fruit trees, unusual flowering shrubs and a fountain at the end of an arcade of trees. It really was astonishing and the weather was perfect - humid and hazy sunshine which carried the scents beautifully. Son and I did lots of photography and I have included a few more of mine in extras. (Does anyone know what the tree with peach coloured flowers or the one with reddish fuchsia type flowers is called?)
