Sundown.
Today we went for one of our favourite walks, a circular from Lizard Village, via Church Cove, where there is a fairly stiff climb back up on to the SW coastal path.
Once the path is reached, the views are worth the effort.
I am not as supple as I used to be, and have my trusty leki pole to help.
I love the wildness of this part of the Lizard Peninsula, preferring it to the other part across the bay which includes Land's End and Penzance. Land's End is so commercialised. Arriving at the Most Southerly Point of the British Isles, we sat outside the cafe, and had our traditional cuppa and a Cornish Heva bun.
Hubby had enquired before about the recipe, but it is a closely guarded secret!
He has tried to imitate it several times, guessing at the spices, and consistency, but to no avail. Although the ones he did produce were very tasty!
Once back at our holiday cottage we were treated to a beautiful display from the sun setting across Mount's Bay.
Perfect end to a day.
