Look Who Caused A Stink!!??

It was another family plot today with our resident baldy Ian from the North visiting for a couple of nights.

And Ian wasn't actually responsible for the toxic air, this time surprisingly, it was Daddy Mick when he was lighting the fire. It wasn't anything naughty if that's what you were thinking, oh no, again, surprisingly this time. Instead what greeted Mick as he opened the living room door after mine & Jen's delicious homemade Spag Bol & Garlic Bread dinner, was a rather shocking, blinding & choking smoke filled sauna. It was quite something to see.

The drama was created by some melted candle wax on a candle holder that was sitting atop the wood burner, which as the fire had grown hotter, steadily turned back to liquid & got increasingly hot & smoky. With the door closed to keep the heat in, it gave us our very own steam room. Not too shabby if we'd actually wanted it.

Once Mick & Ian had wafted & nearly choked themselves unconscious, we settled down with some beers to watch the football, Brighton v Leeds United. A thrilling (not), scored & missed penalty ridden, eventful game, that finished 2-2 & one which Leeds will be content with a point away from home, considered their our lackluster performance.

Work was.. work. Although we're hoping that Monday will bring new challenges.
