The garden tree is trying hard and there has been a teeny harvest but this beauty courtesy of a friend.

Attempts to pop out the arils (seeds)  by 'tapping the back of the shell with a spoon' have been messy to say the least.
It is definitely a  scoop affair!
However to extract the juice (squeezing is out of the question) warm the fruit, roll it and make a hole in the bottom. Stand it on a glass and hey presto... a cascade  dribble of juice.

Pomegranate fennel and orange salad a fave  and maybe an autumn Pomegranate Margarita?
