DERELICT WINDOW

Seen on our walk. And this was the most peculiar walk ever.
The forecast said there could be rain late in the afternoon, and thunder too.
To avoid this we choose to start right after lunch.
We drove to the cemetry, from there a steep path goes up to the Frau Holleweg, that we followed in the forest. From the other side of the river we had seen the havoc on the hill, due to the hurricane Frederike.
The forest people have been working on it since then, and it seems their work will continue for a long time to come. What will become of that part of the hill, which is now almost totally bare. Will there be planted new trees? For now it seems unsure.
The path we choose was not blocked, but at some point we walked through the havoc and it was terrible, and a bit dangerous, with all the wood on the soil.
And when we eventually reached the road again, and decided to walk back through the meadow fields along the river, we had to walk through grass that was as high grown as our hips, that was an ordeal too.
Piet Hein started to sneeze from the grass seeds.
We saw some male banded demoiselles and I could take a picture of one, and put it in the extras.
We were glad to reach home safe after having bought food things at the Aldi.

Huge thanks to Marlieske for hosting the Derelict Challenge.

I have given more silly hearts, to theBroon, Alan_Rodger, johnsmiley1321, evolybab, and mab1943.
