The apple of my eye

My daughter made this for me thirty years ago. It is a coffee mug coaster for my desk with its Mac computer. She carefully painted each stripe with Humbrol onto a wall tile.

I have now '"retired" it before the ravages of time eradicate the logo.

Why did they choose that logo though?
