Low water

Mae'r Taf yn isel iawn ar hyn o bryd.  Mae lle ar bwys Tesco lle mae'r afon yn llydan a bas, a nawr mae meini gwely'r afon yn dadlennu. Cerddais i i lawr glan yr afon i sefyll yna am eiliad.  Sylwais i fod creaduriaid bach yn y dŵr - rhyw fath o berdysen efallai. Dych chi'n gallu gweld nhw ar ochr chwith y llun. Dydw i ddim yn siŵr pa mor hir bydd y tywydd sych yn parhau ond bydd e'n ddiddorol i weld pa mor isel bydd yr afon yn mynd.


The Taff is currently very low. There is a place near Tesco where the river is wide and shallow, and now the  stones of the river bed are revealed. I walked down the riverbank to stand there for a moment. I noticed that there were small creatures in the water - perhaps some sort of shrimp. You can see them on the left side of the picture. I'm not sure how long the dry weather will continue but it will be interesting to see how low the river goes.
