I'm not sure that these get much use in the age of mobile phones, but clearly once upon a time these in Lechlade, were the centre of telecommunications for the area - so busy that you couldn't count on just one box being free to use ...

Rather unusually, if you actually look, there are indeed two phones here - they haven't been converted to other purposes ... yet ...
