Davaar Island and a Very Low Tide
16.8C with sunny sunshine all day long. Light E/ESE breeze.
Fergus and I went for a walk out to the old shipyard and wandered out the shore path almost to Macringan's Point. From high on the slope at the shipyard the loch looked very shallow with the tide so low.
When we were out there a large yacht STV Alba Explorer from the Ocean Youth Trust Scotland came in through the channel. It kept one sail up until it was level with the shipyard. Unusual but there was very little breeze. By the time Fergus and I got back to the harbour the yacht was just about to tie up in the marina.
