First Poppy

This is our first poppy of the year. We have cultivated ones, like this one and the wild ones that just appear every year as seeds fall from the previous crop.

Today I went to Bury St Edmunds, a town I don't really know. Nice lunch at Carluccios with my good friend Anne who I met ??years ago when my son, Neil was born and she was a trainee midwife. Strange how you sometimes just bond with someone. With us it was the Irish connection and we have been good friends ever since.

I won't rant about the parking....but I could!
