Pignut - flower

It’s that time of the year to see this delicate plant, John has lovely childhood memories of digging these up to eat the ‘nut’.
His other word for it is Yowe yorlin, he pronounces the last word ‘yarlin’ as said by his Cumberland born mum.

From the Internet:
Pignut
Conopodium majus
The pignut has a smooth, slender, curving stem, up to 1 m high, much-divided leaves, and small white flowers.
The rounded ‘nut’ is similar to a chestnut, its size (up to 25 mm in diameter), and sweet, aromatic flavour. Palatable and nutritious, its eating qualities are widely praised, and it is popular among wild food foragers
