It's World Turtle Day!

Another really nice day here in the PNW. I couldn't find the goslings today but did manage to snap a shot of a resident Western Pond Turtle. I can just  imagine what it's like to feel the sun on your shell. They are fairly skittish so I have to creep up on them, or they will slip back into the pond with a splash. With its head like that, I also imagine it's doing a yoga pose (pretending to be a cobra?).
