MrsDroog and I are in Delft today. As always, I brought the rain with me: it was the same seven years ago.

We decided to get out of the downpour and go for a jenever. We chose the Cafe De Klomp, which is possibly the oldest pub in Delft, having opened in 1652. The interior is fascinating: delftware adorns the walls alongside oil paintings, antique clocks, old beer adverts and much, much more. The service is very friendly and helpful. The cafe boasts 80 different jenevers and the barman took time to help us choose according to our tastes.

If you are visiting Delft, having a drink here is a must.
