Watendlath

This view of Watendlath is slightly unusual,  not only because of the sunshine Illuminating the scene but also because it is viewed from the descent off Grange Fell that we had just climbed.

It is our 140th Wainwright.  We intended to do it last Sunday when we went out walking with DavidC and Sheila but we didn't quite make it.  Anyway it made a lovely walk in its own right from Rosthwaite and back down via Watendlath with a large slab of the excellent Ginger Cake they serve at the Watendlath Cafe on the way.

It's been a gorgeous day.  Really hot and sunny. We are going home tomorrow with a stop-off in Lancaster to see Ali,  Scott & Lucie.
