Going nowhere fast
This should be tomorrows blip but I must have blipped todays after 11pm and because of the time difference it has made it today. Make sense? Of course not!
A good mosey around Amsterdam today. Saw the outside of Anne Franks house (but queues too big to want to go in, even at 8.45am!), had breakfast by the side of a canal in the sunshine, a canal boat tour and a visit to the Rijksmuseum where I saw the dolls house which inspired Jessie Burton's 'The Minaturist' (see extras) and also Rembrandt's The Night Watch, which was huge and impressive, and Vermeer's The Milkmaid. My favourite painting though was by an artist I wasn't aware of who had painted 3 sisters. Something about them really connected (another extra). The cyclist was outside the museum - pretty impressive how he maintained that pose.
