ABSTRACT THURSDAY

And the theme is: texture.
An impressive part of a tree bark.

I started the day with sandpiping the windowframes and the door at the balcony. But, because I had found out that the 'Holzlasur' that we had, should not be enough and had not the right colour, we drove to Beverungen and choose a colour we both liked.
I decided to alter my scheme, and that will mean first all (?) the sandpiping and then paint. A better plan, I hope.
After lunch we walked around our town and saw an interesting exhibition about the Perpetuum mobile of Orffyreus, ( orig. name Johann Bessler, 1681-1745) who had shown his invention in 1717 in Kassel.
Was he a genius or a charlatan?
Theater Anu from Berlin has made a play around the subject and will perform it the coming three nights.
We saw the immense wheel in the Rathaus garden. See extra photo.
We were so happy that it rained on and off today, we loved the summer weather very much, but the plants, shrubs and trees yearned for water.
