Backyard Visitor

Well, I guess it's not really a visitor, more like a resident.  Becky grew up in this house and she never stepped off the deck (and still won't) because of these harmless little Garter Snakes.  I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way, but I like them.  This one was happily basking in the morning sunshine. :-)

I am grateful that my niece is here visiting from New Hampshire!  We are very close and I haven't seen her in a few years.  The whole extended family is getting together for dinner tonight.  Apologies for my lack of comments over the next few days while she is here.
