Some people have grandchildren...
... I have baby apples.
Two friendly Jobcentre staff spent all of today observing the employment service for refugees that I run. We started the day with only two people booked in (it's like that during Ramadan) then unexpectedly we worked non-stop with drop-ins. Our visitors got a very good view of the people-focussed way we work and plenty of opportunity to see and hear about our values in relation to both clients and employers. One of them took on making a call to a JobCentre booking line for us and was horrified that she wasn't answered for 40 minutes. An excellent day.
