“Mother Dough”

Anyone who ever finds themselves in the Newcastle area of NSW, Australia NEEDS to visit this amazing pizza place!
This is Steve and Naomi with their baby daughter, Hazel Rose outside their restaurant.
Steve makes his own pizzas from scratch using a sourdough base and fresh local ingredients and baked in a wood fired oven which he built himself. It’s the unusual and delicious combination of ingredients which go into the toppings that really makes these pizzas extraordinary! Octopus and potato for example or Kimchi and mushroom were some of the most unusual ones. And the side dishes are the perfect accompaniments. My favorite combination was the Piccadora - spicy meats, with the Fennel, Feta, orange and currants salad to provide the cool contrast.
