Winter..

..is here with a powdering of snow over the mountains to the north and thick ice on the car windscreen. An extra woollen jumper over the rest of my things keeps the warmth in. It has been a day of showers and rainbows ,then this illuminating sunset over Lough Boffina.

It has also been a day of work, mostly this morning and I have a new wwoofer, this time from Switzerland.

Last night the fox( I presume) killed all my ducks. I'll miss them. Why couldn't he have taken my 2 OAP hens instead? My ducks were safely locked away-or so I thought- but the fox managed to wrench off one of the planks on the side of their house. The 2 old hens 'house is never closed.
