NT Ickworth House

A very full day today...

Margaret has a developing eye problem and has been awaiting an urgent consultation at Addenbrookes Hospital, despite the optician and GP requesting urgency an appointment letter arrived with a date of 17th August. After a phone call to see if there was anything that could be done to speed things up a bit we decided to try for a private consultation. Another phone call and Margaret was booked in at 4pm for a consultation... 

To cut the story short, the consultant was quite forthright in his assessment that M's condition had already gone on for too long with the possibility of some permanent damage and waiting three months would certainly result in such.  His recommendation was to start treatment there and then and fortunately we are in a position to do just that...

So poor Margaret was whisked off for an injection in her eye...

Prior to all this we had been to visit Ickworth House near Bury St Edmunds with Jenny our house guest...
