Raking the Bog

I spent the morning watching and sort of helping harvest a bog of cranberries. The harvest was light due to a late frost, but it still has to b done.

I got a good lesson in how it is done. Most of the process involves being thigh deep in water so I did what I could from the sidelines as I do not own hip waders. I may need to go to Cabella's before next years harvest.

It was a wet morning, but that is what one would expect on the north Oregon coast in November. There is one bog left, I may go back next weekend.
