Farewell Gerry

Attended Gerry's funeral today.  It was a wonderfully warm celebration of his life.  The ceremony had lots of music, little speeches and much humour.

One of his sons thanked us all for coming.  He said he was told to do it properly by his father.  'After all', Gerry told him, 'I won't be there, Ill be deid.'  Gerry, you were there.

Love is stronger than death, the celebrant reminded us.
