Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

Hay, we’re back!

After a longer than planned journey we got to our airbnb just after seven in the evening. It’s a tiny cottage on a steep hill owned by L., who has two cats, a dog, some ducks and hens and a motorbike.

We’re in the shire. It’s misty and damp and built for hobbits so I shall no doubt go home with bruises and a stoop, but I wouldn’t change a thing. The views are spectacular even with the typically Welsh climate and Lisa and the animals are super friendly and relaxed. And it’s the Hay Festival weekend, our first visit in fifteen years or so. So life is perfect.

The morning was a bit lazy and disorganised. We did manage lunch in a pub with a very good vegan menu before we set out in earnest. They were also a bit disorganised but very nice about it. Lovely young waitress who spent ages chatting to us about life, university and everything.

Think I might sleep well, it’s very quiet here ...
