Butterfly country

In one fifty metre stretch of south facing chalk downland rich with Sainfoin, Fragrant orchid, Horseshoe Vetch, Bedstraw etc I saw ten species of butterfly this afternoon - Small Copper, Small Heath, Dingy Skipper, Adonis Blue, Common Blue, Wall Brown, Green-veined White, Small White, Large White and Small Blue. The latter being my 24th species for the month of May.
