It's all gone up in smoke now

It's always a big one and well attended when lit.

I can remember the days when there were so many fireworks that there had to be an interval. There was once a never to be forgotten set piece of a sea battle with battleships firing salvos at each other!

In recent years it always seems the same - the same bangs - the same colours - the same smoke. Who said "when you are tired of fireworks you are tired of life" ?
