This is the lovely specialist neuro nurse who has been looking after my case since the day my brain exploded nearly 7 years ago. Based on the surgeon's review of Monday's MRI scan, she was able to tell me that my aneurysms remain successfully occluded. I am now discharged and will need no more checkups; I am as fixed as I can be.
That has to count as a pretty good pre-birthday present.
