Dinner in a Daffodil
Zoom in to the protective stance.
I may have interrupted this crab spider's dinner last night, but he caught a big one tonight.
After a bunch of so-so shots today, I gave it one more try by searching the garden for any sign of life. I spotted one bug... and then realized that it was being guarded by a familiar character. Crabby had moved to another bunch of flowers and, this time, was more successful trapping a meal. A beetle (of sorts) was trapped in the back of this flower and Crabby did his best to fend me off with his appendages outstretched in a warning.
Other than this, I did get a shot of an unfurling fern that turned out okay (in extras).
