Give up

Down to the valley to pick up my strimmer - all eager with anticipation and excitement. Of course is has not yet been fixed. With four French Bank Holidays in the first three weeks of May perhaps that is not a surprise..
In the end as you can see I decided to buy another one and the excitement started almost straight away.
For Tricia a meeting of her book club - well actually two of them and that is people not clubs - followed by a little Scrabble with the added bonus of her partner/opposition inviting us around for dinner than night. 
An excellent piece of goat and plenty of decent wine followed. We were somewhat unexpectedly told at the end of the meal it was the birthday of one of our hosts. Whisky had to be drunk.
