Hesket Newmarket vintage motorbike weekend takes place every year on the Spring bank holiday weekend.  It has been going now for over forty years, and is always a popular event.  If the weather is good, which it is surprisingly often, then it is the busiest weekend of the year for the village pub and the shop.  It's the only time the shop opens on Sunday, and it frequently sells out of ice cream.  The camping field is completely full.  On Monday morning when they have all gone home the village will be spotless, they always leave it tidy and litter-free.
