Jousting

The Flumlet is keen on a children's TV programme about knights in armour so we thought he (and his Mummy and Daddy) would enjoy the Mediæval Fayre at Traquair. There was indeed armour aplenty, with experts to demonstrate the use of each part, mediæval music, many other other exhibits and demonstrations of mounted combat including jousting.
The wee one was delighted with the purchase of a sword and shield (posing in front of a suitably matching banner in extra 1) and with the face-painting that transformed him into a fierce dragon (extra 2). The weather was glorious and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day.
