Last minute blip, through the car window, on our way back home from the delightful birthday party of a friend.

Edie turned 60 and survived many of life's bad turns, including a recent bout with breast cancer. One of her most endearing traits is that she is an eternal optimist: nothing can bring her down -- and it's contagious! Tonite, someone referred to her as a "people collector." I love that label.
