Not what I planned

As soon as I got back from the supermarket and opened the garage door, a swallow swooped in, whilst another two had an aerial battle overhead. These are the first I’ve seen locally. Unfortunately though, we don’t want them nesting in the garage and once evicted I haven’t seen them again.

No sooner indoors than my back gave out and I’ve been struggling to move ever since, which put paid to my planned walk over to the river. Instead I’ve had to make do with my Hilary Mantel book “Bring up the bodies”, which is very good.

Photography is proving difficult but these Clematis flowers were within range. Many thanks for all the favourites for yesterday’s butterfly.
