Earlier I had to call into work to collect some paperwork. The clean up operation after yesterday's mayhem had left no real trace of there having been anything other than a usual Saturday. Had there been a cup to bring home, the party would have gone on, with a parade having been planned for today to celebrate a win. In the event, of course, there was no parade. In 2005 there were something like 500,000 people out to see the bus and by the time it got into the city centre it was at least an hour late. I think those numbers would have been smashed this time around.
