Dog rose

Rosa canina..

Today my sis and I look the dogs to the pub for a minimal lunch, then up onto Shawford Down to see the roses named after them ;)  These only started coming into flower this week but suddenly they are everywhere.  Of all roses, one of the most beautiful I think

It has been incredibly hot today and now the sky is cloudless, which it wasn't at the point this was taken.  And another hot day promised tomorrow.  Bliss..
