The Bride and Groom.

Having installed ourselves in our cottage at Lyng in Norfolk on Thursday we awake to sunny skies on Friday. We decided to head for the wedding venue, only 15 mins away to deliver bits and bobs to Mrs V who is chief Bridesmaid yet again. She has been a very popular choice as this is her 8th Bridesmaid outing! It is fair to say she is now pretty much an expert at the job.

We then awaited the arrival of the Tbay Jnrs who had an excellent run and were with us just after lunch. We met them at the local pub for a quick drink. Hmmmm. This was my downfall dear Blippers! A very happy afternoon spent quaffing wine at the pub then in our cottage garden. It is fair to say the hangover in the morning was not so much fun!

We had supper in the pub where our little drinking party started which was an superb meal. I wobbled my way back to the cottage indicative of my general state! I do rather blame my son!

So Saturday dawned bright and early as we prepared ourselves for the Wedding. The Bride was at Cirencester with Mrs V so we have know her for quite a few years and have a real soft spot for her.

We arrived at the church in lovely sunshine to witness their marriage. The picture is of the happy couple exiting the Church to a cascade of rose petals and confetti. The Bride really did look lovely. You will see on the right of the picture Mrs V doing her bit.

A lovely reception followed with lots of good food and wine, and some very funny speeches! Then it was dancing to a Ceilidh band which proved lots of fun for those brave enough to have a go. Then it was an excellent DJ who played lots of music from our era!

Tired and rather cold by then we headed back to our cottage at 11:30. A wonderful day for all concerned!
